My passion is to test, among other Bluetooth speaker. I confine myself here to the micro, mini and medium classes. The speakers should be battery operated and portable. Anyone who follows my reviews, the notes that I try despite my personal preference to evaluate what is being touted by the supplier and which ultimately turns out to be at home in the real operation. It falls at almost all suppliers (so far) a positive effect on, that the "packaging" and the advertising largely the product fit, therefore, often 4 or 5 star rating from me.

Design and packaging
--------------------------------
The Bluedio BS-2 is delivered in an attractive held in black packaging. The supplied cable (jack and Micro USB) and user manual in several languages, including German, will be in an extra-small cardboard box.
Due to the slightly trapezoidal design and the drawn back sides of the BS-2 of this looks very sleek.
The shape stands out from the usual rectangular shape on a positive note. The front and back are equipped with an all-over speaker grille. The lettering is Bluedio forward very discreet to see the center of the bottom of the grid. All this pleases me very much.

A large-scale rubber is to avoid Verrrutschen at the bottom.
This is necessary because the speakers played loud developed quite a bit of kinetic energy.
On the top, the controls are made up of four gray rubberized buttons.
The speaker can be switched on and off it, louder and softer questions and before in support of the setter songs and turn back. For the 3D Sound feature an extra button has been donated, which is also good.

I already have the producer for this purpose written, with the question of whether I have caught an unfortunate isolated case here. The answer is still pending.

Kudos to the dealer! Good email traffic and quick problem resolution.
Meanwhile, I have received a replacement unit in the color silver, in this processing is okay.
Given the price I would like to not be picky and prefer here mentally in this area one to two stars from, but this does not change the final score. I'm going to hand in a video, since it will be seen what I mean.

Handling and function

The pressure points of the buttons are very good and the speaker responded immediately. I like that in a short press of the plus and minus

A long press switches it also audibly by jingle and sound back in the normal playback mode.

Operating the Bluedio is well thought out and almost self-explanatory.

The Sound
-------------
An assessment of the sound is the reason already difficult because the feeling is always subjective and everyone has their marked preference. My intention is not different. My preference is reflected in the fact that I rather tend to a "bathtub curve", ie the sound to bring a decent volume in the bass and treble to be clearly reproduced. The centers must not go down and it will not sound when playing the speaker behind a veil standing.
I've got quite high standards, but which can also serve small speakers need.

The Bluedio BS-2 is naturally not comparable with more than 4 times as expensive speakers like the Denon Envaya Mini or the JBL Charge 2 As for the bass, but given the low cost of only 25 (as of 02/22/2015) I have not so expect a sound and certainly no EQ tuning option. Even when you turn the speaker speaks relatively discreet with me, what makes me happy too early. Many other speakers are playing this status tones from full amplifier use.
With regard to the vote me here a little more concise the bass, but through the use of an equalizer on the phone can be more than just compensate for missing.
I have yet to 30 had no such good sounding speakers in the category in the hands. For 25 of the speaker is a real snapper!
The Bluedio plays clearly understandable mids and brilliant Höhn, with the right EQ setting comes out of the speakers also neatly out bass, well below 100Hz. ;)

The 3D function broadens not only the sound of the bass is so special stresses ordentllich without external EQ. So far my first operation after power of the speaker is also the turn on the 3D mode. So far, the speakers in 3D mode sounds very good with every style of music.

Conclusion
-------
A very light and therefore absolutely ultra-portable speakers with excellent sound hidden in Bluedio BS-2.
For 25 you must certainly not expect much, dorch here you get a powerful speaker with good depth.
The 3D effect widens the stereo stage noticeably and acts at all times exaggerated.
Sonically, the Bluedio BS-2 currently one of the best mini speaker in the price range to 30, which is not least due to the really good 3D Funkiton.

Due to the very low price and the outstanding response from the manufacturer about paint defects, I prefer symbolically here initially only half a star off, thus still gets the Bluedio BS-2 4.5 So here thus at Amazon 5 star.

My recommendation to buy for those who are looking for a simple and very inexpensive speakers in a classic design with a twist!
