The spot has a powerful spring that holds the spot easily.
The clamping surfaces are padded with rubber buffers. This may cause scratches on wood surfaces of the spot.
You can connect it to up to about 2.5 cm thick boards to spot problems. With 3 cm thick boards the spot can not be attached stable.
Adjustment
================
The spot can be adjusted in 2 axes:
- Rotating in the plane of the bracket
- Tilt perpendicular to the plane of the clip 0 ° to 80 °
Since the power supply does not take place on the bracket, there is no risk that bends when adjusting the cable
The adjustments will snap well and keep the spot in the desired position.
I can not say anything about the durability of many adjustments.
Construction and processing
==================
The spot is completely made of metal.
The spot is well designed and meticulously crafted. All this makes a very good impression.
Electricity and light
============
In cables, a toggle switch is installed. The dump sits about 28 cm in front of the entrance of the cable into the lamp housing.
This means if you want to turn on the spot by this switch, you can not install the spot out of reach.
The spot is designed for R50 lamps. Through small openings in the screen of the spot is a bit of stray light on the side. It has good directivity, since the front side of the lamp R50 5mm sitting behind the edges.
I run the spot with a 2 watt LED lamp with a nominal 180 lumens. This combination is already too bright for my application as a bedside lamp almost.
Conclusion
====
This clamping Spot combines great looks with sound technical implementation.
