Original Review:
========================
I have the Yoga Tablet 2 10 "gained me as a second machine for the home and am very happy for this purpose. The display is very good for the price, watching movies and Surfing the web is a lot of fun with it. The integrated stand is not just a marketing Gag but actually really convenient.
Unlike other Rezessenten there were at my copy no problems with the build quality, all its hardware is as it should be.
Here are my pros and cons.
PRO
+ Good display with FHD resolution, viewing angle, color fidelity and contrast / brightness are in my opinion very well
+ Super-convenient built-in stand
+ Battery life is good, even though I have not yet reached the 18h. After 9 hours of video streaming was with me closing
+ Speed is not bad, even if the baby is a few jerks here and there. Here certainly has Lenovo's UI customization guilt or the one or the other is not optimized for x86 App
neutral
o Lenovo UI is a bit strange. Is safe, "inspired" by iOS and MIUI) Visually appealing for me, but not always liquid. The lack App Drawer is in the beginning certainly unusual, but who wants to install another launcher to yes
o The preinstalled apps can not be but all are uninstall compared to other manufacturers still relatively moderate
o Wi-Fi reception is worse than a notebook, but better than my Galaxy S3, so far OK.
CON
- I find the sharpness setting of the screen a bit exaggerated. Black text on a gray background has a white border. The font rendering but suffers under it, if you look closely. Too bad because the screen would look even more brilliant this without sharpening
- Can be currently not rooting, at least with the root tools I've tried (VRoot, Towelroot, ...). In general, there seems to be little community support (Custom-ROMs, etc) for the Lenovo tablets. Therefore not suitable for hobbyists.
- Ubuntu 4.14 on the PC MTP mode does not work via USB. Here are just a drive with Lenovo Windows drivers is displayed. The really one need not now under Ubuntu.
- A few apps do not run properly, eg Dolphin Browser, MagineTV. But is not likely to Lenovo, but the apps themselves or their lack of adaptation to the x86 CPU
- The automatic brightness control is a matter of luck. I set the brightness manually rather, goes better with me. Here Android 5 is supposed to bring remedy, hopefully, the implemented properly by Lenovo.
Conclusion:
A great tablet with a few minor weaknesses in the software that Lenovo might still be repaired.
