The installation went off completely without problems. Just the old part (Danfoss) away for turning, Adapter Ring on it and turned to Rondo acts on it, finished. Quick made an adapted programming for the entire week (5 minutes) and the unit could be installed and begin his work. Very nice thing is that you can easily remove the program and afterwards refit.
But here came the first small drawback: the ability to enter a heating temperature and a reduced temperature, already restricts a little - but not dramatically our standards. The only space I would like heating with multiple temperatures, would be the bathroom.
Then came the next realization: The set temperature corresponded in any of the rooms the actually prevailing temperatures. They were always too high! The reason is that all heaters are with us on the walls, where there are house-exterior walls. The temperature there is always a little lower than in the middle of the room. A little research on the net revealed that earlier versions of the HR-20 possessed the ability to program a correction value especially for this event - the firmware in use today (2:04) has this ability but no longer. Very unfortunate. But by means of an unofficial list you can retrieve additional information from the Rondo deeds.
Pressing the PROG button for 20 seconds, you get a menu, which is not discussed in these instructions. First, the display "1:00", which is only for the summer and winter time change there blinking. If you press again briefly the PROG button to jump to the next menu item "2:00". Here you can set via the rotary wheel with the position of "2:01" means that the display constantly shows how far some percentage the valve is open (a rough estimate value because each heater valve reacts differently here sensitive. Our heaters are only slightly warm when the display indicating that the valve is opened to about 35%). Very nice to see, as the instrument controls.
With the setting "2:02", the display shows constantly the actual measured temperature. This setting I used to find out the extent to which measured by the Rondo deeds temperature of the actual room temperature, measured at approximately center of the room at chest height differs. From this it was found that I have to set the example Rondo deeds in the living room rather on 18.5 ° C in order to get to a comfortable temperature of about 20 ° C. The same game I have done with any other room. The temperature difference is with us between 1.0 ° C and 1.5 ° C. To the values do not always have to keep in mind, I've just glued small sticker on the Rondo deeds, with a corresponding number that I always depart from the desired temperature, if I set the Rondo deeds.
Dere last menu item "3:00" is the window-open detection. If you switch this setting to "3.01", the Sensitive mode is activated and the device is more sensitive to some when it comes to strong temperature drops as a result of open windows. For us, I had to activate this mode, so the Rondostat reliably detects that will be revealed.
One has the Rondo deeds first set exactly to the room, it's really great. Before, I had to run long through the apartment and adjust the heating so as not to much or too little heat (especially in children) all nose, because, depending on how much the heater is used in our house (about 15 parties) , it is more or less hot, for the same valve positions. This small device makes it all well automatically. Wonderful!
