Now, however, find the weak link of the unit as "Clouding" (or dt. "Halos") in the previous reviews no / hardly mentioned. My first Nexus 9 (Rev. 1) had at various points of the display edge considerable halos, ie lateral irradiation of the LED backlight. So massive that the device in a dark environment, higher brightness level and footage (dark bars above and below) reduces the mood noticeably. The replacement of my Nexus 9 (Rev. 1) has exactly the same mistake, when in other places. This raises the suspicion that it is a series of scattering. For a 9 "Tablet at a market value of nearly 400 this is a farce.
To check whether you are affected by Clouding:
Turn the power off, proceed in a darker room and turn on the unit again. During the boot process, the screen is almost dark and light patches if necessary clearly visible on the side edges. In this case, I can only recommend to a complaint. And comment like my review - I look forward to receiving your feedback!

A total of 6 (!) I tested devices all have a similarly high degree Clouding, though always in different places of the display edge. The units are from 2 different dealers; 3x 3x Amazon.com and Otto. Thus a high series dispersion in my view is occupied. And to prevent corresponding comments: I am not a complainer, sociopath, yet a man without hobbies. ;)

My review refers to Revision 1 of the Nexus 9, so the first version. In the meantime, report multiple sources of revision 2 of the device, which should have been technically improved (halos, side buttons, feel the back). But this end I have no details, because I have 9 deferred the purchase of the Nexus until further notice because of the above-mentioned shortcomings.
