We were looking for strings from the mountains with an Audi A4 sedan. I had already had experience with chains: not necessarily impossible mission, but still delicate.
And falling on the Easy Grip system, we say nice: it really looks easy to make !! Especially when you see the video demonstration of Michelin with "blonde" climbing that we in 3 minutes ...
For a pro, I'm not saying it is definitely doable in 3 minutes.
For others, good luck !!
A flat without snow, it took me a good half hour to get to the place.
First, because the sock is extremely rigid: So NO it is not so simply puts a sock ...
Then, once you have killed the hands (by the way, forget the gloves provided, they do not protect) to get to put one end of the chain on the tire, it must move the car: and there, despite all efforts to try to center the thing, of course it will not. You are forced to move 2 or 3 times the car to get to what is is centered ...
Finally, I did find a way to install them in less than 10 minutes: I bought a small hydraulic jack that I will keep in the trunk.
Once the car lifted and the wheel is off the ground, the chain is installed in less than 5 minutes!
In conclusion, the Easy Grip certainly help maintain the ABS and ESP, and I guess that's a plus in terms of safety.
But aside ease of installation, it is far from that !!
And it is certainly not that easy installation which justified the blow of this equipment ...
