Robert Kelly is now 45 years old, the 'Parental Advisory' sticker on the album cover is gone, and the Golden Voice of Chicago can take things at least seen lyrically a bit quieter. Even his latest album 'Love Letter' made it clear that the 'Fiesta' times are finally over and he can get along very well without features of the hip-hop world. For whom Kelly has not actually written or produced in the last twenty years? Among the best known are probably Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Luther Vandross. He must not reinvent the game to convince us again, the twelve songs which he is presented to us 'Grown Man Talk', the voice of powerful, yet full of emotions. At the beginning it served delicious uptempo tracks like 'Love Is' and' Feelin 'Single', before then with 'When a Man Lies is' really quiet. A colorful mix of ballads and dance floor joints were always that what constituted a R.Kelly album, but we have to wait until it comes down to business on his new album. But he ventures into 'upscale' age actually in foreign territory and conjures with 'All Rounds on Me' a rock'n'roll track from the hat does not sound that bad, but Elvis would of course never bring up a sweat.
In some songs it is clear that he still understands the music as therapy to self-discovery. No, you can play for anyone. Although still of course a lot about relationships and so, unfortunately, often associated problems. Kells' is the master of 'heartbreak', and even if it is outside damn hot, you want to be most like to cuddle up with some songs in front of the fireplace. But before we hear at the many Slow Jams melt entirely then we get a bit of 'Hands in the Air' Feeling then with 'Party Jumpin' 'still. And so we can here then still like to think back to the times in which he moved with Jay-Z and Keith Murray around the houses, had the champagne bottle under his arm and the ladies nudged in the back seat of stretch limos to him !
A really great album, but what plan he has probably before his next album, which is titled 'Black Panties' wear? Perhaps the sticker comes but then again back!
