Customer Review

In this book Charles Berberian tells us stories (more or less true apparently) on the Rolling-Stones, MC5, Mickael Jackson, shoulder pads 80s, and his own life also, as his meeting (I assume fake) with David Bowie / Ziggie Stardust or holiday flashback in 1972.

It's flipping Fluide Glacial like every month I came across an excerpt from this book that had me much; In this transition Berberian told us about the importance of shoes for a singer Leonard Cohen, and his own teenage experience. I loved that story because I felt that the author really made us share his feelings at the time.

My feeling about the book is mitigated because I loved the details and small story about the artist but strangely this fiber that I had found in the extract I have not found throughout the book, some stories (Phils Collins for example) seemed to me vain and without much interest. Maybe I was expecting something much more personal and poetic.

The book is quite good and Charles Berberian knows very well the rock is undeniable.
I re-would read with pleasure and all rock music lover feuilletera willingly.
