Hardware good, software included as standard

Hardware:
The probe is part of this package, is praised in all tests to the skies and is the ne plus ultra represent, as long as you do not want to spend many times over. While I have no way of verifying how accurate the probe measures, but to me at least noticed nothing negative about it. The handling is also fine.

Software:
+ One can equally install the latest version of the manufacturer's site.
- It always copy protection software from a third Anbietes is unasked installed (several drivers, at least one service that incl ... webserver.). Does it have to be that way? Without the probe, the program (iProfiler) is but anyway good for nothing.
- When you uninstall iProfiler, is the copy protection software * not * uninstalled, but running happily on. They also do not seem to occur with the other programs. Uninstall is possible only with a private command-line tool that you have to contact the manufacturer (copy protection!) Get.
- In general, the software, for something you normally need every few weeks or months, quite a heavy weight. Tray icon, driver management service, etc. I would prefer if I could distinguish z. B. from a USB flash drive and on the target system remains nothing more than the installed profile.
+ The interface is appealing and "friendly" design.
- Unfortunately, I find the user interface rather cumbersome. An example: When you create a profile you clicked through a few (full) screens, always with Next. So far so good. Only it is not calibrated yet a profile created - one has to trigger each manually to the appropriate Schrimen.
- CRTs are no longer supported.
- Little to no additional functions: I have not been able, for example, a monitor just to measure..
~ I can not say much, except that the software only makes one pass and therefore is very fast over the profile quality.

I have uninstalled the package again and now use Argyll CMS + dispcalGUI. Free, open source, multi-platform, all possible functions and allegedly even better quality. Even with the interface I can manage more easily. What more do you want. The best way the included software on your left and the same way.
In this context it should be mentioned that the probe of the X-Rite ColorMunki display is almost identical - 5x only slowly. Who is not in a hurry, so it can save.
