Hardware good software unripe

Have since 2 weeks the GO 1005. Compared to my predecessor (Go720) is the unit:
+ Much faster ie fully ok
+ Super display
+ Live service, the absolute highlight and clearly the strength of TomTom compared to competitors
-> Very accurate indication of traffic delays on highways and in the city
-> Superfast available
-> Comprehensible data source (such as locating the Vodafone mobile phone density), only empty chatter in Navigon
-> 2 year subscription included
-> Google local search finds almost everything you need ... Class !!!
-> GSM module for Live Service in the device (not in the charging cable as Navigon) integrated and therefore also available on foot
+ Practical bracket with only one cable, which is fixed in the bracket; Plugging / unplugging with only one handle
+ The service is as easy as the 720, so barely getting used
+ Chic well-made, relatively flat device

Now the negatives:
- The map display has not significantly improved, which, other much nicer eg Navigon
- The coupling software is no longer Tomtom Home but an Internet application called MyTomTom
-> Unfortunately, the software works in practice (still) not (as of 29.11.2010):
- My device is incorrectly recognized as Go720
- Contrary to the full-bodied advertising relating to functionality can be found then support a small coy reference to the following page:

"We are currently working on introducing MyTomTom for the latest generation of TomTom devices. MyTomTom helps you manage the contents and services on your navigation device.
Some features are not available under certain circumstances, but are provided in the near future.

Class, only collect money and then tell the customer that practically nothing is still working.
Not even the basic rate of fixed safety cameras for 10 years is available ....
Today the unit has hung in navigating and strictly refused to accept despite power cycle an address under "Navigate to" ... was grayed with "POI". Besides home, Recent destination, ... was not selected. It seems that if the device homesick ... I had ... after my Go720.
Conclusion: The hardware, the TomTom Live service and superior routing are the first choice for frequent travelers. But factually lacking the coupling software completely the Go 1005 (yet) and the firmware has still teething so that I would not buy this device at the current time.

Map update available since mid-October but still no fixed speed cameras available.
Software problem of inability to address entry in the driving operation is not also corrected. The new coupling software MyTomTom I have not made to run on Vista, Windows7 it works. The final map and software update but has lasted over 12 hours.
The device and the software are still completely unfit. Tomtom only optimizes its Webeauftritte and not doing his homework ..... Stay away from the new equipment .... this company!
