I bought the unit a few months ago and am more than satisfied. My HDMI devices ran far over my surround Reciever. However, this has only 2 inputs. Meanwhile, however, I have 4 devices with HDMI (HDD Media, Satellitenreciever, XBOX360 and Playstation 3). Since I am more than satisfied with the Surround Receiver, I wanted to buy not only because of the too few HDMI connections a new one. So had to be a solution. An HDMI switch is not an option for me. The portions are quite cheap, but you can save here at the wrong end. So I looked around for HDMI splitter and have discovered this device. 4 HDMI inputs, 2 HDMI outputs. That sounded interesting. First, I did not need the second HDMI output. Although the price may deter some (if one simply compares these with an HDMI switch), you should be aware that this is a splitter and far works better. The operation is very simple. Connecting devices, push button on the unit or the included remote control which device you want to drive, select HDMI output 1 or 2 and already it works. I have my devices connected as follows: - XBOX360, Media HDD Satellite Receiver to the HDMI Splitter. With the HDMI output in my Surroundreciever (so I Dolby Digital and DTS have the sound) and the Surround Receiver in my LCD TV. The Playstation 3 I further connected directly to my Surroundreciever, but these would be connected to the HDMI splitter just as good. What I also like very much is the separate on-off switch on the device. The device is very stable, very high quality and I am more than satisfied. Meanwhile, I've bought a second TV. This depends on the wall in the bedroom. The TV is connected to a wireless HDMI / WHDI Transmitter System with 2 HDMI output from the splitter. And it works perfectly. For example, a TV has the image from the satellite Receiver displayed while was played simultaneously on the andereren TV. I highly recommend this unit to anyone.
