The topic Electric Shaver has never really left me since then. When it comes to new products I held sporadically to date and trended every now and then to a Panasonic model. When I saw the Remington, sparked my curiosity again correctly and I wanted to give the "electric scissors" one last chance. The first Rezis were promising, while Design and Price did the rest.
Commenting on the outcome:
Behold: I was not only not disappointed but satisfied downright. The shaving is - you have to keep telling, because not fully comparable to the wet shaving - very thoroughly for an electric razor. Small problem areas remain neck and sideburns; there you have the direction and intensity of pressure vary somewhat in order to achieve the desired result. The skin irritation is not to make minimal and secure the shaving reproach. I have relatively sensitive skin and I accept that. The result lasts me one day in the wet shave there were two. But I can shave comfortably in any position without being, foam etc. dependent on water. The cleaning works better with the accessories Brush well with water purification, which I latter - to spare blades and shaving foil - not too often applying.
To the device itself:
The Remington is convex (hump as ne 'Hex') shaped and fits comfortably in your hand. The on / off switch is easily transferred to the housing and has a good tactile feedback. The material quality could be high. The picture in the product description makes him anyway appear significantly higher quality. Cheap it does not affect, however, also. The housing is made from different plastics. The charge indicator is practical and the battery lasts a long time. I do not use the trimmer, therefore, this point remains unevaluated. The noise is absolutely bearable.
The accessories fall out commercially. Instead of a storage bag made of cloth it would calm can be a hard case. Neglecting even more is the "charging / holding station". This mocks their description and is easily built such that I have disposed of immediately after a brief test. Instead, I connect the charging cable to the shaver directly and without detours - thus there is no downside. To protect the shaving foil is a female cap. The user does in fact contain a number of linguistic blunders. But since not heard a razor to the most complex from a technical perspective devices, may raise no difficulties arise for "average candidates" for any case.
For life, no one can say anything. We can only hope for the future that both device and accessories tend to be an acceptable shelf life. As for the availability of spare parts, to Remington has yet to prove. When Amazon recently at least spare shaving foils are available, albeit at a handsome price.
