I bought the headset at Amazon.com because it was cheaper there (with shipping and customs 105). I must say that the headset is really awesome in itself. The ear cups are nice and big and go through all the ears, so that they do not press on the ear, which quickly hurt many smaller headsets do. Weight is of course noticeable, but ok and you get used to it quickly. Sound is also very good, etc. but who wants to know how great is the headset, other reviews to read. I am referring mainly to the thing that bothers me a bit, namely the PC software. To use the headset to the full extent, you need the Logitech Gaming Software (I suppose times that manages all configurable Logitech devices). If the program is not in the background, it has very limited functionality: The headset is recognized as a surround device, are but all in plain stereo out, except the Mute funktionier last control is more (not even the volume control) and special functions such as Stimmenmorphing and equalizer naturally fall away completely (although I could do without the). That would, in principle, not a problem if the software would be made at least tidy. Here is a list of points for which I have deducted 2 stars: - The current version was obviously placed emphasis on the optics. When I look at old screenshots, all the settings are there to see on a screen, now you have to click through individual pages. Granted, looks nice, but is unnecessary. - The software will not automatically (de) activated when switched on a device or unpluging. Ie it either runs always in the background, or you have to manually start and stop. Why this is a serious problem, and later will come. - The Equalizer works strange. If I for example, high turn the depths, I get even at very low volume levels overdriving heard, but if I leave the equalizer normal and the overall volume turn up, I did not have this problem, although the sound is really loud. - The size of the program window can not be changed and for a 1366x768 laptop screen (which unfortunately still often are) too big. - Now to my biggest problem. I have a laptop with nVidia Optimus technology. This means that the laptop normally uses only the onboard graphics and switches to the NVidia, if he needs the power (eg for games). This one has if necessary good performance, but otherwise even better battery life when the NVidia graphics is unused. The problem is that even if it explicitly requested otherwise in the settings, the configuration software with the NVidia graphics chip is running. Even if the program window, and the software only runs in the background, the graphics card remains active. That is not only completely unnecessary, but also eats no less than even a few watts more power and runs hot the laptop even for simple office work. Something like this is not really acceptable on a mobile laptop. But I have no desire, the software every time I connect my headset or separate, manually start the software. If that were automatically I could even live with that, because I headset that anyway almost only at home use, if I hang on power anyway.
There is yet another thing that bothers me a little: My voice with other, much cheaper Head Put a lot more natural. I may be well understood with the G930, but the sound is no longer the voice of my (did that observed at a friend / even heard who bought the headset recently). I would imagine that the partially comes from the active noise-canceling as well as halt again parts by reflections of their own voice come in in the back microphone, but here again the problem: you can not stop ...
Overall, though, I have to say though, that this is to be a top headset and some of my problems for desktop users are irrelevant.
