Full anticipation I snatched the postman the package and examined my latest achievement.
The camera made purely externally a good impression, visually anyway. Haptic remained the materials used but unfortunately fell short of expectations.
The housing though (not even with somewhat stronger pressure) creaks not and is properly processed by the gap dimensions ago and yet is one the garb of H15 little "plastic-intensive" before.
The release button has in my opinion much too much play, the zoom wheel is unfortunately also too easy and the silvery parts of the surface are extremely vulnerable fingerprint (the latter falls one but probably only in the early days consciously).
Well, after what felt like an eternity (about 3 hours) was the battery, which can charge only in an external charger by the way, finished loaded and ready to be inserted into the camera.
The screen glowed bright and bold colors, the resolution had improved noticeably compared to its predecessor.
The menus are all easy to understand, and after a few minutes of "playing around" you get the most handles, especially if you already called previously a Exilim his own.
In Berlin the sun was shining, so I could test the whole day under very good conditions the camera.
The tripping speed convinced me and the pictures looked great on the screen, all very beautiful and colorful.
My friends especially loved the Make-up Mode, which missed a porcelain-like skin in each application being photographed.
Even the large zoom range of the camera I tested intensively through its paces. Unfortunately, the zoom speed is a bit too high for my taste, so it can happen that you zoom too much first, and then again something must return back in.
Nevertheless, the camera made apparent steady images and the times even at 10 Zoom.
After the sun had passed so slowly, we visited a bar with admittedly difficult lighting conditions.
Again, however, the camera returns apparently quite good results, which also related hung that one can apply many different scene modes that adapt to any situation and environment.
Selecting an appropriate mode, you can make either manually or let the camera in Auto mode.
So far so good. Expectations were high when I am still in the same night to the PC to put the photos on the computer to look at.
Unfortunately, my euphoria had quickly give way to disappointment. The pictures seemed not strong color and certainly not detailed.
On the contrary, the in-camera software had made sure the quasi appeared ironed each picture! None of the photos could even begin to convince me positively by the level of detail.
The colors seemed lax and bleak and even the images that were shot in bright sunshine, looked more like rainy winter day.
I hoped that at least the video quality would convince me now, but soon I had to show there still much disappointed.
The video which was recorded in the bar, had nothing to do in my opinion with HD. The picture rushing greatly, the sound was spectacular.
My old Casio Ex-Z750 manufactured today nicer shots under such conditions!
All this meant that I have decided to return the camera and grab for attempt number 2 little deeper into their pockets.
The Lumix TZ-10 from Panasonic was the same day a new owner and to date they left a consistently positive first impression!
Once I have gathered more experience with it, I will also write to her a new review.
Currently remains for me unfortunately nothing left not advise pronounce than the H15.
Even if the price seems quite tempting not worth the purchase for the quality in my eyes.
Who still wants to grab the Exilim, which was warmly recommended its predecessor H10. It produces better pictures thanks to a weaker internal post and is also to acquire even cheaper.
Who does not want to give up good pictures and sensational HD video, you should rather go over to Panasonic and a TZ7, TZ10 TZ8 or purchase!
