The drinking horn is made of genuine cow horn, a truly natural product; and therefore can be a bit of color and pattern vary on this Photo! The horn was inside a little hollowed to have more capacity, and sanded and glanziert externally. The practical stand is made of twisted metal.
There is also to buy leather holders to carry the drinking horn dam on the belt.
For drinking beer the horn is not really suitable. Because of its rough inner surface, even when poured rapidly evaporates the carbon dioxide of the beer and is thus too fast switching - but for mead and wine, the drinking horn is ideal.

CAUTION:
After use, the drinking horn simply rinse with warm water. Please, please, do not use detergent, since the drinking horn then ever tasted after Spüli, bäääh!
