High performance backup battery, Mayday!

The American manufacturer PNY hardware what has long been now a brand synonymous with assurance and quality for the consumer. Through a wide range of products mainly focused on pen drives and graphics cards, the US firm has amply demonstrated its expertise and is a safe bet in the sector. So rather serene about the quality of the backup battery (at least, that is my purpose!) I acquired it.

And quickly, we realize that no surprises were reported on this product. The battery (incidentally quite heavy) recharges via USB to the PC. Warning Besides, the battery is preloaded but the mini user guide reminds that it is essential to recharge fully before first use (probably as usual to maintain the life of the battery). The full charge is quite long (easily count seven to eight hours), but on this point, there is no significant difference with the competition.

After two outputs available to you, a 1A and a 2.4A. On the latter, to fully charge my iPhone 5S, I set 1:30, which seems to me to be a very reasonable time, especially just as fast as when charging is done by electric current. On exit 1A, I put my tracker Withings activities, charging was done so quickly that when I recharge on the PC also. So its critical point, namely the charging smartphones and other USB rechargeable products is nickel, especially since you can still easily do five full smartphone refills (tested with Windows Phone and iPhone), which leaves good margin, even if on the other doubli than once to fully recharges the battery PNY.

Only small point of detail that bothers me is the "physical" resistance of the battery. For me, this type of product is made, among others, to walk in the bag when hiking a bit long (like the one where we use the GPS which melts at Chow battery), and I wonder s' it is shock resistant ... And you know, I did not really want to test this immediately :-) All that to say that a small padded case would have really made all immaculate and all- field! Too bad, but not enough to spoil the good impression densemble!
