The Marantz is integrated in my home network wired and operates two large Jamo S608 tower speaker that are connected via 4 mm² cable. The Marantz acts with me as a multimedia control center and connects all playback devices to the TV. The sound is picked up here and played through the Jamo speakers, directed the video output on a single cable to the TV.
When playback sources act with me an Xbox One, a Sky satellite receiver, a media streamer of unknown brand Ellion and PC and iPad via AirPlay.
Positive on Marantz:
+ High-quality workmanship and attractive design
+ Image loop-through option to the TV. You can on the Marantz remote control switch by pressing a button on the picture and sound from a different source
+ Network capability makes it possible from the PC / laptop or iPad on the Marantz to stream
+ Special Network function: Spotify music streaming
+ Klangeinmessung via microphone works very easily and gives good results
+ For each Singalquelle own settings can be made. Although this is complicated, but later prepares a lot of joy because so volume differences can be balanced between different devices or bass reinforcement for individual devices to be set up
+++ The probably most decisive criterion: the sound. A subjective feeling - for me brings the Marantz of the Jamo speakers but out an incredible sound.
Negatives:
- The somewhat high "regular" price, but you also get paid quality
- When streaming through Spotify frequently already dropouts occurred. I hope Marantz repaired here through a firmware update to yet.
All in all a super device is spread. But it is important to use appropriate and not undersized speakers. In my case, I think, to have the combination of Marantz SR5007 and the Jamo S608 found a perfect combination for me. Really for rooms from 30-40m² a super combination at an acceptable price.
