For the processing of high-resolution images I was looking for a monitor that can represent this with no downscaling. My Nikon D3300 delivers images of 6000x4000 pixels, but there is currently no PC monitor to view this native resolution in full size. The U28D590D offers with 4K resolution, after all, a compromise. At least in theory. In practice, there are obstacles. I work in the office with several laptops and PCs of different performance, but among them is not graphically highly upgraded gaming PC. The laptops with 64bit system is not yet all have the display port, but I reach over the HDMI cable, the maximum full-HD resolution. With ASUS Vivo PC with Intel Core i5 and 2.5GHz to reach at least 2.560x1440 pixels, but this is still far from 4k. The gain in resolution and color intensity compared to FullHD is quite remarkable, so I want the remaining problems in no way blame the monitor. The fact remains: you need in any case a connection via display port! I would have welcomed it if there had been on the supply side some pointers on the system requirements, which are necessary in order to fully utilize 4k can.
