Hmmmmmm ....

... Somehow I did not really like the book.
One advance: I have been a real fan of the series.
But all that did not bother the previous books: the witty dialogues between Skulduggery and Valkyrie, fast action, some surprising twists and funny supporting characters; all that I find in this book no longer really again.
The story is very one-dimensional: after Valkyrie has learned her real name at the end of the last volume, it is now our utmost to prevent someone abuse can drive it - this happens on its own. The other characters come in the first third of the book so short.
Then the usual attack an evil power comes on the Irish magician Community. Here the opponents pencils neatly unrest and chaos, which is, however, described in gloomy colors.
In general, this band is rather depressing and has a slow pace on.
As Derek Landy wants to get out of this valley; That is the question to which I want a convincing answer in the sixth volume.
Conclusion: for fans of the series forced a must, but by far the weakest book in the series.
