Some notes of which Mitkäufer could benefit:
In my server I have accommodated a total of 7 drives. 4 x 3.5 "drives in the slots which are located behind the front door, a 3.5" disk is on top in the bay for the optical drive, I do not need and 2 small SSDs fit between the 4 bays and the framework for the 5.25 "drive. On a SSD, I have the operating system installed (Windows Server 2012 R2), the other SSD serves as a write cache for the memories that I have configured in the server. Everything works wonderfully. The new virtual disk is much faster as can be pushed over the network. With large write cache I come to about 300 MB / s read and write 200MB / s.
Furthermore, the network card in the server is not designed for long cable. A friend of mine as I said the same server and both of our equipment, we have observed very unstable network connections over cable lengths of about 10 meters. With short cables no problem.
The server needs turned but underutilized about 50W. Under full load the climbs up to 75W. Everything related to my configuration with the built-in hard disks.
So much for what I think of this now. If there are any questions, I answer them gladly.
Regards
Daniel
