This makes the songs more honest and more from a single source. But - everyone knows the old versions will be somewhat disappointed because the new is no longer consistent with the legends!
On the positive side: the sound - incredibly much better. The cut: Volume and sound differences are hardly or not available. Everything seems more of a piece.
I highly recommend this release to all those who do not know the old. Just listen to this band, as it really was. Then you still buying the old version and listen to the songs as they were a legend! Compare Now! :-)
Negatives: Anyone who the old version for years (as I have from my youth) knows will swallow anything, because the versions and the mix are totally different. Yes. even the song sequence has changed, which is totally unfamiliar and undisturbed enjoyment of the fantastic sounds does not allow!
It was for years just totally clear that on No Quarter ... hard to get used to (for me always the highlight on the old version, despite lousy executed Cuts!) Stairway to follow it.
The collector wirds not disturb on. Fan wirds want.
The newcomer wirds not notice.
But this version is a bit as if the dude suddenly running around in a suit, he would probably look better, but ... :-)
