How about going to a night out in Ikebukuro?

This book, I delayed the opening but not because it did not interest me but because I did not have much time. Actually, I ordered this book after seeing the drama (Japanese television series) of the same name and this goes back quite some time already. I finally opened recently and the first thing that one can say is that we enter into it very quickly. Indeed, the narrative is in first person so automatically it becomes very easy to read! We are in the shoes of a young Japanese Makoto 20 years lost a little (but not too) that to kill time in Ikebukuro (Tokyo area) helps untangle muddles that affects people of his neighborhood with whom he grew up .

The interest of this book is really making us discover this district of Ikebukuro and what can happen there after dark because the majority of the story takes place at night. I who had the opportunity to stay there three days I did not think there could be gang (without comparison with what can be known in the US of course!) And other shenanigans related to mafia , etc ...

Compared to the drama, I would say that the characters have much more charisma and more depth (including Makoto and Takashi). The story is also much more plausible and realistic (those who have seen the drama may understand what I mean) and perhaps less spectacular shot (I mean the end)! I had taken many good to see the drama and I took a lot more to read the book.
