first I want to (as well as in my other reviews) to point out that I have professionally conditioned already possessed quite a few smartphones and me could give a very good overview so that each operating system iOS, BlackBerry OS and Andriod can and where their weaknesses lie - in my possession over the last years were: iPhone 4S, Samsung Galaxy S2, Samsung Galaxy Note, BlackBerry Torch 9800, BlackBerry Bold 9900, Motorola Razr i, Sony Xperia, Nexus. 4
The HTC One I ordered from my blue mobile operator twice and already received more than 14 days. Both devices are since that time continuous testing and have now replaced all others. (. Test person number two is my better half:) Why do I think the HTC One for so incredibly well I will now try to explain in the following text.
Everyone has their own individual needs and requirements which must personally make a Smartphone for him / to. My expectations were there: good call quality (both for me and my opposite) Design / feel to be right, battery needs a daily business survive without the grid, performance / display, smart unique features that convince me as a buyer, I want so good take pictures / videos of Hundi and Co and the phone must be running performant total without any lag and lags.
First of all I want to tell that the HTC One will almost meet all my requirements and also offers much, much more. But now to the individual points:
Call quality:
Good call quality - but does not serve up the Xperia Z. It constantly has a slight background noise. Here is triggered when output via handsfree function not of Boom sound speakers but a bit tinny micro. This sounds unfortunately less important to Beat Audio.
The reception can be described as mediocre - initially thrilled but we found many places that the reception performance was significantly worse than with other devices.
Design and feel:
For this has been written in advance most. However, the One looks extremely classy and is so incredibly good in your hand that you can not write often enough. An eye-catcher and eye-catching as it is in the book. Everything is made accurately, the aluminum housing gives the very first touch a very valent feeling all buttons and connectors are ideally position. However, much more relevant is the fact that the smartphone is great in both portrait or landscape formats in hand and thereby tap relaxed long business emails leave without having to continuously commit themselves or the cell phone to a slipping out of hand. By Alubody is finally closing with great designer mobile phones after 5 minutes already are full of greasy fingerprints and thus their full charm lose (eg Google Nexus 4, Samsung S3, Xperia Z etc) - great in my opinion, because it took me at other devices partially really massively disrupted. It is also good that you can be chic-looking phone is no longer a full shell (silicone case, protective cover etc) has to undergo, because the One in itself is very robust and at least the back so far looks scratch-free. Update: Unfortunately we had after 4 weeks now but many streaks and scratches on the back. Obviously the aluminum keeps not very long. My girlfriend had the earlier Desire Z with whom she was very happy - but again the Alurückseite was after half a year and chipped sa very ugly. HTC has here really the same material installed?
Battery:
Now, with the battery at first I was to pick one or the other chicken. The first few days I was after 5 hours of continuous operation with 1% residual battery there and was it "not amused". Fortunately, the battery showed after 4-5 charge cycles last from its good side and unfolds sets the full power. I get on well on a business day beyond (Internet, phone 2-3 hours, Bluetooth hands-free kit in your car, WiFi, Facebook and WhatsApp few messages) - enough for me, because I already reloading every night my phone. With the S2 or the grade of the battery can not keep up, however. Here I reached some with 2 days without a single charge.
Performance / Display:
Here there is nothing wrong. Everything runs smoothly and without any lag or stuttering. The software has a very intuitive and so can the phone after a short adjustment period navigate and adjust confidently with Sense 5. Not worth mentioning as one in the price range also expect otherwise. What, however, has far exceeded my expectations, the Full HD display. No matter from which angle you look at the phone, everything is sharp and both the black level and white values are incredible. I've seen all kinds, but this screen is really ultra sharp and contrasty. Even measurements with the new Galaxy S4 could not beat the values of the One - this info only marginally for the numbers / data / facts fetishists;) - it is a buyer of HTC on the safe side, that in the near future will be nothing better available ,
USPs / camera and Co:
When the first reports of the HTC One I did frankly difficult for me with the new Blink Feed surface. What shoud that? Who needs that? Now I do not want to miss! I have my feeds set so I have news from business and social responsibility directly on the home screen. So I always get the latest news and to know about the most important issues from around the world. My girlfriend can thus really begin still nothing, so there are thankfully the opportunity for Cheffin everything as usual to put in Andriod (ie widgets, watches and sooooo many great wallpapers :)
The camera takes very good pictures - no more, no less. In addition it is likely that features like HTC Zoe. This mode is already known even among Apple fans, but comes with HTC still a big step forward. Namely, not just 3 sec Images shot and displayed in the "Album", but also "events". Clicking on one of these events (in chronological order by date) renders the HTC One out of Zoe shots and normal images of a video out what is then underlaid with appealing music. There are so many "new features" where you always begs the question "OK, cool, but need I'll never or rarely" (keyword SIRI on iPhone etc) but this produced here in my eyes a real added value. One is at a birthday party and made a few pictures and a few shots Zoe (Zoe eg when blowing out the candles or the tearing of gifts or or or) they are then processed in seconds to an appealing video. This I can then instantly share (Bluetooth, NFC) or directly to Facebook, Youtube etc upload. Every one to whom I showed this feature was (as I incidentally itself also) thrilled. One thing of the HTC really brings something and can be used every day. Excellent!
A few more words about my girlfriend :) Much to the chagrin of my hand, she has a habit of taking a bath in the bathroom, ironing etc to hear about your phone out loud music. Of course, this never happens via the supplied ear plugs because I should indeed have what it. Now, me in the past, animal annoyed, not because of the music, but because of the underground bad-sounding sounds of boxes. Only heights, tinny sounding - just awful - I can still not understand how to enjoy good music so. Long story short: The HTC One now has the first smartphone that appealing Speaker, the sound even after some bass and especially Stereo (!!!). The sound from the speakers is roughly comparable really top and with any other device on the market. Thus, YouTube videos or movies a completely different experience. Also a product feature on the HTC can be proud.
I'll update this review again or insert things that stand out to me in the future, either positively or negatively, and have not yet been discovered. Many reviews are written today unfortunately right after 1 day. I think one can take months to determine whether a product really does what it promises. I hope the HTC so the big hit and has succeeded with this phone neatly money is flushed into the coffers - I personally think the developers would have more than deserved this success.
Criticisms for me: The SAR value of 0.88 is ok but could be significantly lower. The battery could be a bit stronger. In LTE network I have a bug. The reception is great, however the location is recognized incorrectly. I will then suddenly beamed to another city. If an update is certainly correct.
From me there for the HTC One even never so clear BEEN buy recommendation in the range smartphone. It stands out in all respects clearly from the competition and thus receives from me the full 5 stars.

The location error in LTE mode is fixed. I had only one outdoor location synchronize since running as perfectly. As soon as I am, however, in buildings, the place is misrepresented in LTE. Very annoying.
The exact charge time is from 0% to 100% 3: 17min
I have the TV function now also tested in terms of universal remote control. On all three Full HD TVs everything is working properly. A really great feature

What previously was discussed in any Youtube review is the Htc own app "Car". Especially for sales representatives like myself a very useful feature. You get into the car mode. Automatic Bluetooth is activated and connected to my system in car, it can give voice commands (send SMS to ... call on XY etc.) the signature of the individual functions is significantly larger which is helpful while driving. It can be so also in this mode Navigate. All of my previously recorded voice sites were detected and calculates the route correctly within a few seconds.
Synchronization with PC functions both on the Htc own sync software, but also easily and in my opinion even better with iTunes and Microsoft Media Player. Playlists are easily transferred to 1 1. Htc offers even an internal service is intended to facilitate the transfer of I Phone to HTC. "Transfer data from my iPhone" this feature, however, I could not test.

I have to deduct a star now after now 4 weeks use. Why am I represent now:
Blink Feed: Due to the fact that there are simply too few configuration options and can be maintained to some providers all for me has become extremely boring after 3-4 weeks. One simply looks too often the same article - there's something like Flipboard individual and versatile. Will the boys soon the update, which will naturally be mentioned here.
Camera: I have now had the opportunity also to make many outdoor pictures (landscapes, panoramic, forest etc) A landscape such as acting in the foreground sharp, but unfortunately see the rear rows of trees then as on an oil painting of - somehow muddy and not sharp. The 4 million pixels Ultra are just sometimes too little. The plays in portraits or close-ups etc does not matter, but you can tell at targets that are farther away clear that the Cam has limitations. So I have to revise my opinion of anything here: the iPhone 4S and my Note 2 have generally made better pictures! Do not misunderstand: I've had enough of the camera One thick, since I already mitführe my digicam on "Events", but it should be mentioned. What can Zoe etc yet is a great highlight and I do not want to miss. For me personally much more important than a few more pixels.
SAR value: The magazine "Connect" has indeed its own testing methods which the radiation in smartphones concerns however is the basic SAR value of the HTC already quite high (0.88!) Although the test result of Connect is not yet available, but I think it a satisfactory value is achieved maximum. You ought to know but the Xperia Z with SAR 0.55 and Connect value 0.13! It may be meaningless, but as I really use my phone a lot for work and every day between 3-4 hours on the phone for many this value is already important to me. Since I use the alarm of the mobile phone at seminars and mostly at home, the phone is also at night next to me. Clear I naturally separate the data connections, but the radiation is still very high. Unfortunately, the alarm does not function like all smartphones in the off-state
Also a bit negative is the fact that the clock along with weather animation on the homescreen where Blink feed is stored can only adjust by issuing the location approval. I have this option always reluctant to other smart phones, because Google does not have to know at all times where exactly I am staying activated. Stupid is just, that there is no weather display when deakitiviert the releases, but then an ugly "to activate the weather pressing" text appears in the upper right. If you then click on this note one lands in the site settings. I have never experienced in any other provider. There you could always define and save a fixed location, which then updates itself every hour anyway.

I am very unhappy with the update! Because any photo magazine had tested the One times and noted that the ISO value remains in the EXIF data to automatically and does not specify the actual value that was fixed. Supposedly also features have been improved: Patch for Google sites (for the weather), Bluetooth version 4.0 disorders, adjustment of slow-motion video (exposure, problem with the back buttons, optimizations for network providers, system stability, sound correction in HTC Zoe and Beats Audio ...
So now, but the problem is that the images that I have made a trial were significantly worse quality. Somehow, the picture sharp only in the middle. Right and left everything will be blurred and pixelated. Terrible! Hope that this problem will be fixed soon. In the performance I can no improvement and there are no new effects in Zoe or the like.

We have both the HTC One played back. A device had a crack when the camera is activated. The other was again not exactly ausgefräßt. The update has our opinion then stated that the Sony Xperia Z in person simply is the better machine for us.
