With me are 2 Philips LivingColors Iris (2nd Gen - round touch FB), 1 LivingColors Iris (3rd Gen - round mechanical FB) and 1 LivingColors adapter in addition to the now newly added 2 Hue Lux lights (Starter Package) in use.
The coupling of Hue Bridge along with all of the above devices work, but not easily. It found no instructions included, but available on the Internet a variety of instructions (first has the bridge to be reset, then one of the remote controls with the lamps must be connected in succession, etc). I decline to take this opportunity on a detailed design.
Before installing the Bridge, I used all three remotes with all three lights and the adapter. To achieve this result even after inclusion of Hue system, the remote must be "copied". For this, the "to be taught" FB must be reset, then held very close to the already connected FB and at the same time "I" (A) are pressed for a few seconds in both. This works with all generations FB-existing with me. However, it is important - and I have not found in any description - that after this copying process the new remote control for each luminaire - must be re-reregistered (FB close to the lamp when switched on, then a few seconds, "I - also in Hue Lux lamps "until the lamp gives a light signal).
Something seems strange that the Philips "Philips Tab" switch sold almost the same price as a current iris including remote control. The Iris FB supports many more functions. Ok, the Tab function without battery - this argument weighs hardly difficult, because the batteries of FB keep with me for several years.
By the way: All lamps - the Hue Lux lamps - function after integration into the Hue system with all remote controls, regardless of whether the bridge is connected to the lights or not. If so disable the Internet at home or the bridge is removed from the network, the lamps with the FB can still turn easily. About the smartphone / tablet is no longer possible, of course.
Control of lamps works regardless of whether one is at home in the wireless network, or if the smartphone / tablet is connected via UMTS or WLAN strange. In the latter cases, however, there are delays of tlw several seconds. If you are not located in the own bridge wireless network, however, a number of functions (control timer, alarm clock, etc) are not available. Something strange also seems that, for example, the alarm can only be turned off by the device on /, from which this was also created. So I point with my smartphone a light alarm clock on 07.00 clock, so I can not turn off, or otherwise edit it with the tablet - and vice versa. Otherwise, of course any number of control devices can be connected.
Every now and then lose my Bridge by the way the connection. Whether this is due to my wireless, I can not say. That's why I prefer this for the time being from any point. Given the comparatively low price but therefore even five stars.
