These are the cover and the back cover summary that prompted me to buy this book. I do not know why, but obviously I knew I would love this novel. I did not see the time passing, absorbed by a well-constructed story, a mysterious atmosphere, a sinister place, disorders characters, enigmatic and endearing.
We let ourselves be carried away by this lugubrious atmosphere, by the successive events that take place in an old mansion that bears the scars of its former occupants. This house has a reputation for being haunted, it is the scene of many unsolved mysteries of tragic events, ghostly apparitions, a "Palace of Shadows" where someone pulls the strings skillfully and plunges Nathan Thanner while as the reader, in a maze of hidden secrets.

A book that for me perfectly closed my readings for 2014 and invites me to discover more about this author.
