It's a personal opinion. The story began well (volume 1) Volume 2 had plunged me into an exciting reading. I really like the world of the author. The archaeological excavations and objects found in the past is thoughtful and captivating. We take pleasure to discover all. The hot desert is great with charismatic characters.
But volume 3, I find less powerful. I read with greater difficulty. Maybe it's just a personal feeling, but sometimes I feel like it and skated right after everything went too fast. There uneven chapters and characters that I like less. But it still remains a good read. I could not help but let go of the book for a week.
