The student and amateur singer Maggy has not easy. Your math scores are getting worse, with her mother, she fights often and to her father, she has since her parents' divorce hardly any contact. One day receives a letter from a Maggy unfamiliar Sam Worthington. The letter she fascinated: Sam seems to be the only one who has something nice to say about them. His letter is sensitive, warm and full of love. Full of curiosity Maggy sets out to search for this unknown man and learns from him what it means to use one's own talent.
At first I was a little too rebellious Maggy. But after a few scenes I have to view it as well as the letter writer sees it: as an extraordinary, beautiful, deeply loved by God girls. My particular favorite person is also Sam Worthington, played by Bernie Diamond. The old man is amusing, despite his advanced age very open, fearless and full of vitality. The talks between Maggy and Sam have pleased me well, since the two of them, not only because of their age, complement each other very well and learn from each other. In addition, it was very nice, even to watch a movie without a developing love story between a boy and a girl.
Most scenes are accompanied by a quiet and pleasant music. When Maggy band plays, but there are also faster, louder music to hear, so that for every taste a little music should be there.
The film is very emotional by the beautifully written letter and by Maggy conversion. They learn what it means to act selflessly and to make other people happy. From this it receives ultimately their self-confidence and learn to go their own way without friend, girlfriend and tape. Especially the scenes towards the end I was very moved and the final minutes are a few tears flowed.
Conclusion: A beautiful, emotional film, not only for music lovers, but for all people who are looking for a quiet, profound movie to think.
