However you get here only a rather small bite of the whole work served, much to the annoyance of fans of those musical great unconverted pieces missing in which Palpatine and Mace Windu duel, Anakin Skywalker is appointed to Darth Vader and the sad (and at the same time incredibly beautiful ) Final Part is supported in the Padme to the grave and Darth Vader, along with his master inspected the construction of the Death Star.
So the real highlights are missing. Instead, it was an overly long and boring opening saved and an even longer, though less boring, end title draufgepackt.

The main theme of this film "Battle of the Heroes" is once again a little stroke of genius Williams with the best of the saga, even if it is one probably for one or the other a little too dramatic comes along. However, I must now say that even my friends this topic great fanden- and these are, after all, quite philistines what music terms)
Similarly, as with the track "Anakin's Betrayal". It is one of the most dramatic issues of the entire Star Wars universe. What's interesting: input I complained about it so that the piece missing which was used for the Duelling scene of Samuel L. Windu and Ian Mc-Palpatine. The melody is however very briefly alluded to in Track 2 "Anakin's Dream", which ansich but is rather boring.
General Grievous theme (the only new character-theme) I actually find very cool. Only there is straight times 2 times alluded what but a little disappointed.

What me again a little lacking is the subject of the Emperor: what I was flashed at the movies than this topic wurde- alluded repeatedly underlined by the scowling sounding male voice choir. Of course there's also this version in "The Return of the Jedi". However, the sound of this disc is not necessarily the best, due to the recording year. (Since you can not bring out many Remastered Versions)

Also Imperial March disciples will be disappointed once again a little. Although the piece is even quite bulky for load-bearing, however, in episode 5 release of "The Clash of Lightsabers". Otherwise this piece comes (as in the two parts previously well) rather quiet and inconspicuous, or there are only very briefly alluded to the opening bars.

Then also some tracks are shortened. I find it very bad "Anakin's Betrayal", "Padmé's Ruminations", "Palpatine's Teachings" (which otherwise one of the most interesting pieces is in my opinion) and "Padmé's Destiny". The latter is the background for the birth scene. The big moment by Darth Vader aufbekommt be Helmchen. In this scene the Vader-piece gespielt- but on the CD is missing! WHY the Matter ??? If it was going to go 5 minutes and the space on the disc yes (thanks to the stupid, protracted, Opening title) pretty exhausted ... But, these are only a few Sekündchen. That may or another the matter Being for me it ruined the track>.
The DVD is at most a nice little bonus, but in my opinion completely irrelevant. Only die-hard fans can enjoy familiar scenes which one has seen ten thousand times before.
Sound Technically, the CD properly.

One can only hope that one but the idea still cherishes the fans in the form of a further Ultimate Edition, as before in Episode 1, to draw the money out of his pocket. The Lord of the Rings soundtracks this has indeed worked ...
