The first attempts to prepare ice failed catastrophically. The ice was not the approach. Try it failed to Post cure in the freezer because the ice then was hard as brick, even after thawing 15 minutes. Even the specified recipes that were not tough stand in the booklet. We were close to giving up. The cooling vessel was about two days in the freezer, so frozen long enough, because it can not have, and the ingredients were refrigerator cold, as required.
The solution to our problem was then to make only half the recipe. That worked very well. The ice was quickly finished (some 10 minutes) and tasted delicious! Here is a recipe that I recently improvised:
Coconut ice cream:
250 ml coconut milk (you can well use leftovers and then stretch with milk)
Honey or 50g sugar (if you like it sweet takes longer)
4 tsp coconut flakes
Simply mix milk with honey / sugar and place in the current device. Then slowly add the coconut flakes. And then enjoy when the machine creaks.
Summary:
+ Ice is quick to prepare
+ Handling is easy, do something wrong you can not quasi
+ Cleaning is easy
-It's a little difficult to connect the device. I make it often does not hook the stirrer of the ice machine directly
-The indicated in the booklet portion amounts do not freeze through (especially not when the outside temperature is high)
-Half Recipe amount is enough only for 2 people
If you just want to experiment with homemade ice cream and has no eishungrigen three children, is well served with this unit. People who eat regularly in large quantities of ice, a device should buy with their own compressor or stay with the ice commercially available.
