The operating system was very quickly installed and set up.
The NAS is very quiet and the plate is also woken up quickly from hibernation.
For me, the NAS is used exclusively as a DLNA server for my TV.
My LG 55LA6208 has recognized the NAS instantly and runs so far as no problems.
Speed of data copy via Gbit LAN:
My system:
- Intel Core i5 3470 CPU
- Gigabyte Z77 motherboard DS3H
- 8GB DDR3 RAM
- Toshiba 256GB SATA3 SSD
- Windows 7 (64bit)
My Social Network:
- Speedport W724V DSL Router (Gbit LAN)
- Cat6 LAN cable
Test file was just 4GB in size.
Transfer rate was approximately 45-55 MB / s.
This I found very quick.
I then but in a forum still a very good tip found.
After little change in the transmission rate to stiegt on 85-95 MB / s.
Instructions:
1. In the DSM under "Windows File Service" must activate their "SMB2 and Large MTU".
2. Try searching the Registry Editor this entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ LanmanWorkstation \ Parameters
3. Created there a new DWORD key named "DisableLargeMtu" and give it a value of "0".
4. Reboot the system !!! Done !!!
Now the transfer rate should rise to approximately 85-95 MB / s.
Hope I could sometimes write a small review that some a little further help :-)
I personally give this NAS a strong buy recommendation.
