(In fact, despite the photo, it is indeed a QWERTY keyboard.)
Note that this keyboard more or less suitable for remote grip of a PC session. Several programs allow this tutorial (I use Logmein), but the absence of Windows CTRL key is sometimes problematic. If you consider this use, the keyboard dock for Apple iPad, which has a CTRL probably be a better choice.
But it is still a superb keyboard. Which points noted during its use:
- Turns itself on as soon as iPad is attached. Stops when you remove the iPad. Advantage: the keyboard will not turn into road alone when you leave the bottom of a bag (case of Logitech Ultra Thin).
- However, the keyboard does not turn off the iPad when everything closes. Too bad.
- The iPad is now firmly by magnets. Very well done.
- The texture of the keys is nice and their race is well marked. In short, the strike gives excellent feedback.
- The keys are not backlit. Difficult to use in bed, when all the lights are off.
- No manual. What are the unusual keys? By trial / error can guess: return to the main screen of the iPad, see the open apps, take a picture of the screen, adjust the volume.
- Recharges via micro-USB (we will therefore use the iPad charger). A load theoretically gives 79 hours of use. The device consumes almost no when off.
- Do not work with an iPhone (the keyboard is not switched on when a iPad Air is present).
Note: Your iPad keeps the profile of each Bluetooth keyboard that you are testing. Now, spent four profiles, it turned a deaf ear and no longer recognizes the new keyboards. If it happens to you, remember to remove one or more Bluetooth profiles.
Finally, note that the direct competitor is very serious Logitech Ultrathin (Logitech UltraThin Case with Keyboard for iPad Black Air-AZERTY).
