Operating Instructions:
The menu is not necessarily self-explanatory, but the program is preparing to complete (! See note in the manual) Read the instructions no more problems.
Keyboard:
The individual keys have in our sample in terms of their sensitivity to certain differences, however, have until now always work.
Create fingerscan:
When my wife and I went the Teach quite speedily and without problems. After 4 to 5 repetitions, the matter was settled. The situation was different with our three daughters, who quite narrow finger. Here up to ten registered reps plus various failures were (no central placement, etc.) and final nil no exception. Eventually I found, however, that despite the lack of confirmation of the successful Teach some fingers were still taught and applied as a user. After a while, but eventually two fingers were still programmed (in case the left and right,), the alternative numerical code and the E-Key.
Keypad mounting:
Finding a protected weather- and sun before cookies for the keypad, was not easy at our Northeast side lying entrance. The assembly was therefore carried out on a metal holder with lateral bending, the normally lit room has the task to shade the tableau. The included base plate I've screwed onto the plate holder and then glued the keypad as intended by the manufacturer on it. By loosening the screws on both sides of the bracket I can take into the house, the whole part to replace the batteries or for reprogramming.
Use fingerscan:
The finger has to be pulled over the scan, which can, however, quickly raushat with a certain "technique". Only in extremely dry / cold or wet fingers, it came in practice sometimes problems. What helped the breathing on or drying of the finger or even the use of numerical codes for these rather rare cases.
Battery life:
The keypad is attached with us outdoors. The batteries had to be replaced for this anyway after about 15 months service, shortly after the batteries in the doorknob. The remaining capacity was this always displayed correctly on each keypad.
CONCLUSION:
Create finger scans requires at narrow fingers a bit of tact and patience, but does not have fortunately often be made. Another admission z. B. for guests may be applied as a numerical code and easily deleted. The installation of the cylinder is very easy to do, for mounting the keypad in my opinion a removable bolted solution would be better than the non-destructive releasable adhesive attachment.
The system has only minor weaknesses, but overall very good work, comes without cabling and has especially a very good price / performance ratio.
As mentioned earlier, the system is with us for almost two years in operation and the technology, like the fingers must be kept on the reader, all have learned in a short time. Our daughters can find the whole thing anyway very cool and are very happy to go out of the house without a key. The risk of Schlüsselverlierens is over with it and accidentally locked out, z. B. the transition to the garbage can, is also no longer possible.
