The basic principle and the idea of these games themselves, but I find still absolutely awesome and accordingly excited I was, whether I Might & Magic X could start just like the above said Legend of Grimrock.
I bought it and then we went short and blind after publication day at the store and down.
Habs now now (after determined over 40 hours of play time) almost through and what can I say?
Hammer!
Such is the perfect balance of retro and modern at the RPG genre for me.
The charm of old games (although I've only been "recently" know this) it begins for me to 100%, but without seeming like a cheap copy.
Still leaves the playground for more modern elements and it does not believe we would have in 1991, but precisely in the fact 2014th
The graphics and sound, for example, are not high-end but also nich really frumpy and especially in completely coherent. ... And that's always much more important as everything else!
Not for nothing it does in many cases still fun to gamble old games, even though they are technically of course completely out of date.
The world is in my opinion more than big enough and yet almost anywhere very detailed and lovingly designed.
Just as the characters which one encounters, the quests of the game and the background to the story in the form of books.
The difficulty is crisp and demanding, but always fair.
Up to the end because usually it gets much too easy and you yourself too overpowering.
The complexity of the character development and others. I find quite ideal.
Not so much as one would be so completely killed, but always to the game and his party can impress enough the personal touch.
Here, however, have games like Skyrim clear ahead and simply offer more possibilities.
And last but not least, the box with your soundtrack, the cards and the manual is a very welcome change in times,
where often the mere downloading files is the greatest feeling in terms of "games purchase".
Although I buy continues to be the most games in physical version, but that still was still something special, which goes far beyond the usual must-have a boxed version also here.
Mind you, all for almost half the price of other games!

Despite all the praise, there are also 1, 2 criticisms on my part:
The performance is partly in fact quite grottig
Bucking and aufploppende textures / items in the world are rather disturbing and likely anno 2014 actually nich longer be necessary.
The initial bugs I let the outside before ... I have not had this and something can happen and just been so ironed out quickly.
The biggest negative for micht however:
Playful, the Endgame compete in any way with the first two-thirds.
Here goes much flutes what the first two-thirds of the game was so mercilessly horny ... Especially in the fight:
The tactical depth, degree of difficulty, the claim ... All this pales quasi if you only ma reaches a certain level.
If ever there is still a tricky when the game throws wave after wave against the opponents.
And here then is also only the pure mass dangerous and nothing else.
That makes then somehow no real fun more and is really a shame!
But Mars and all in all is already complain at a high level. So honestly has to be one.
The game is absolutely outrageous and despite a heavily sloping last third clearly worth 5 star despite his criticisms for me. :)
Often I felt like a little brother of Skyrim, which is in particular smaller and above all much more retro but just the same world-class and consistent. :)
