The Yamaha YRS Recorder 23 is a very nice and wonderful instrument. I actually like instruments rather, if they are not made of plastic or containing what. But in this flute is not a "disposable item", but a really durable product. There is in my family a similar instrument, which already is nearly 40 years old. The plastic has changed in any way and plays the recorder like the first day. A wood recorder can possibly faster "death" Good wood flutes hear yourself talking about something better. Otherwise, they'd buy no. But they also have disadvantages. For example, they must be turned on and then getting warmed up first. Only then (mostly then) Play your benefits really audible and pleasant out. For the beginner is a plastic flute, in my opinion, the first choice. The YRS 23 has a clean and relatively gentle sound. It's really not a toy, even if they would have a rough deal, certainly not very "blame". It is processed very clean and suitable for young and old alike. It is suitable not only for beginners, also advanced players (at least as Second instrument .... for camp, youth recreational or later the holidays) certainly their Fun with it. This recorder can sometimes be out of your hands, without fear, that something breaks. Those who stay permanently while playing, will anyway eventually a wooden Recorder set. Where can I "later"'m at, you should inquire about the fingerings. There is the German fingering and the Baroque. The most professional instruments produced with the baroque. Here a later relearning would be necessary, but which many Players is not difficult. In return, the German is somewhat easier to learn. If a music school be sought, it is advisable to ask there before. These matters of conscience should stand in front of a department. Who wants to learn self-taught playing at home, should However, ask yourself the same question. Yamaha has the "baroque gripped" flutes as well good deals, which are not inferior in price / performance ratio.
Ergo: For those who prefer something lighter style of play, who the little audible differences to the "Baroque" not fear (available namely) who is not afraid to possibly having to relearn something ..... provided He eventually, but should play in the distant future and to establish a very expensive flute want (there are also good in "German play"), the need certainly not afraid of a voucher have.
The instrument has a perfect price / performance ratio, sounds good and plays well. Clear recommendation !!!
