"The Very Hungry Caterpillar", the original for the small Hungry Caterpillar is not only a children's classic, but also ideal as an entry in the English language (English words weekdays, numbers, and food can be learned). The setting of these and other stories by Eric Carle should therefore be an ideal tool for those who do not trust the reading itself. (At this point again: pear / pear advocates Pär and not pier!) However, the implementation is not very successful. The stories are presented as if they were funeral speeches. The background soundtrack is fairly well, so you can hear for example, smacking the caterpillar rudimentary. And probably get fully to the recordings, there are the five stories then five more "appropriate" music, each quite annoying classical pieces. A Caterpillar Song? Wrong! I'm spoiled by the settings of the Julia-Donaldson-books "The Gruffalo" and "Room on the Broom" which are really successful. My wish: Maybe the same team takes once, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" before !?
