Nora Kelly (which is found in many novels of Preston and Child), through a letter from his father organized an expedition to find "Quivira" a legendary and mythical city of the people of Anaszis Indians. For his expedition, she calls Black a specialist in dating, in Aragon, another specialist, Sloane (daughter of the boss of the Santa Fe complex), a cook and a cowboy to occupper horses. The latter is the journalist "Smithback" which will become the love of Nora (see Preston and Child novels written later). This book is impossible to let go. On the one hand the great adventure in the middle of impassable canyons, on the other hand a dose of witchcraft and inclement weather. Finally horror. Selon want to spend some quality time reading (without taking the head), I think this novel is for you. Currently I am reading "Ice Limit" and it seems to me equally great. With Preston and Child, it is no surprise. We are still in novels or the main reason is the trigger and discharge of Stress. I recommend it highly.
