I had read the GB102 and was disappointed from the start of the voice quality, also the menu buttons excessively used heavily on and the menu was very sluggish. There was also a very disruptive software bug if it had lost the power, it retained the state "no power" until it has been removed the key lock. An absolute no-go even (or especially) has been built for a mobile phone that only calls and write SMS.
I wanted no more LG phone, but then smiled at me, the A100, and it seemed at first quality. And now I have it - at a price of 20 euros you have to not think as long.
At a glance the advantages compared to the - at first glance - identical GB102.
+ High-quality, wear-resistant design
Write + individual keys for correct SMS
+ 950 mAh battery instead of 800 mAh
+ Despite a larger battery a little easier about 60g
+ Modern and fast menu, smaller font and therefore less scrolling
+ Five instead of four lines for SMS
+ SMS length doubled
+ Display is not viewing angle dependent, entirely different technology
+ LED Flashlight
+ Useful speakerphone without accessories thanks to a very good speaker and microphone
I think that, for two phones that could be optically almost twins, already very considerable. Nice to LG the topic Product Care also with the 20 euros devices not neglected.
But there are also a few things that I do not like so well.
- Only two wallpapers selectable, both getting used to
- Simple ringtones and alarm tones, there is not only polyphonic hum and it even little choice
- Yet another plug for the charger, not a unit plug at LG
- The display could have been a bit bigger and better resolved
So I can but live well.
Conclusion: The A100 is the phone, after I've been looking for. Very high grade processed and absolutely functional. At last call is also fun if you understand his opposite.
