During the first dive in this new version a strong positive impression aroused unlikely (character design, detailed scenery, liquid level controller, approaches emotional depth in the character development of Lara), however, remained with increasing progress back a stale aftertaste.
When a game is based a little more on realism in the presentation and animation of the protagonist, the out forming survival skills and in dealing with violent mercenaries sounds maybe charming (and the first half hour, it is the well), but in close permanently the bloodiest Outputs of Lara or massacred deposits while eliminating the to get "enemies" for the good, including blood splashes on the camera lens, which testifies indeed of a certain realism, in which you can ask almost as the cameraman that can so gently missed repeatedly, but then heard no longer in a classic action adventure, but clearly classified into the splatter genre! Since it does not help when it is legitimized by training Survival skills in aspiring grave robber Lara Croft. It distorts enormously the profession in which should be history and basic idea of Tomb Raider move initially. Archaeology and the battle for supremacy in mountains of relics of this game has something to do only marginally. I have to give the negative voices right.
The game may fascinate in other respects (and it definitely does with me!) And be a passable game, but unfortunately it misses the basic idea of the game series - regardless of whether it reissued, softened or should be round again: It does not deserve the name "Tomb Raider", because this name stands for an idea that is discussed in this adaptation only on the edge and - as has been said many times - sometimes even completely device next to the main attention to the increasingly effective destruction of mercenaries into oblivion.
Too bad that, this game unfortunately missed the target with the quantity of options when it comes to the technical implementation ... :(
