So now Norton 360. The program is very straightforward to use and basically consists of four main menu items. In individually are:
- PC Security
- Banking - and Shopping Security
- Backup and Restore
- PC Optimization
Under PC security then are the subsections LiveUpdate, AutoProtect, Firewall and Virus and Spyware test!
The test itself takes place only on a small scale and only checks the most important functions. A complete examination is then carried out at a greater distance, and then includes the entire PC. The individual tests run then usually in the background with a hint of the Norton window!
The Banking and Shopping Security only supports Internet Explorer and monitors there purchasing behavior of the user and then warns of fraudulent sites. With other browsers like Mozilla Firefox or Opera this safety window is not visible in the browser!
Under Backup Symantec understands backing up the most important files on a CD, DVD, or another hard disk in order to recover from a total crash or defect on the PC!
Online are to even 2 GB in Symantec available, more storage space online will cost extra!
The PC optimization is my personal favorite. Only by removing the temporary Internet files, temporary Windows files and by clearing the Internet course I won on my C partition about 5 GB of additional memory back. Defragmentation of individual plates or partitions can also be performed manually in Windows itself. Here is the path:
Start / Programs / Accessories / System Tools / Disk Defragmenter
Norton 360 but also takes over this!
All in all a very good program on paper if there was not the practice!
Also with me it always comes back to program crashes. I also had problems with the beginning of the message, a process has finished, restart the PC "!
Just now when I am writing this text using Microsoft Word, I get a message that the program must be stopped. Fortunately secures MS Word file itself before restarting!
I now look to me the story of a couple of weeks in the hope that by updates to fix one or the other problem by itself and will then, should no improvement Norton 360 uninstall. Speaking on this issue. The uninstallation is done with a software tool which Norton Removel tool is called. Of course, not on the CD purchase it and only needs to be charged at Symantec down, otherwise the uninstall process does not take place clean!
All in all a good program, but not yet fully developed at Verkausstart!
