This is also noticed in this HDR-PJ410, but its image quality is quite good in terms of really sharp detail but leaves something to be desired.
The photo quality is good but, despite 9.2 megapixels, not the same as a "real" digital camera.
Here you have but to be realistic and the current price of around 300, - Euro (likely is this in the shortest possible time to fall even further) to keep in mind.
For this you get the full package but then some of what makes the HDR-PJ410 quite attractive.
But now a little more into detail.
The entire camcorder (housing) seems not particularly high and is pretty "plastic-heavy".
The feel is rather modest.
Here I am of Sony but a little more accustomed to being there at the workmanship nothing to complain about.
After opening the purist impression continues, the display is advised but quite small and does not allow any touch operation.
Although I must say that the operation übet the joystick quite comfortable and fast proceeds more.
The menu is well-structured and easy to understand settings allowed.
The lens cover has to be opened manually and the battery disappears beneath a bulbous Addeckung.
Charging takes a long time for the HDR-PJ410 battery has an above-average service life.
After that, it can then begin.
Worth mentioning would be the wireless connectivity that, except for the connection to the home network, a direct connection / control over the smartphone permits.
For this purpose the "PlayMemories Mobile" app must be downloaded and installed.
Funny; captured in photo mode images are stored in each case on the camcorder and on the smartphone.
Now again to the image quality.
I have a lot of pictures in all kinds of situations made to compare.
The quality of the recordings is quite good, but it lacks a bit of detail.
But if someone has no comparison to other full HD camcorders, it is quite possible this will not notice.
Even with less light the images are still good where you can say clearly; the darker the faded (as with almost all devices).
The photo quality is passable but any trained eye detects here immediately that these were taken with a camcorder.
The Optical Image Stabilizer operates as actually otherwise expect from Sony, very well.
Even with full (optical) zoom little unrest in the picture (the HDR-PJ410 nevertheless remarkable 60x).
In smaller focal length "floats" the image literally.
For me, the very clear highlight (and enrichment for the whole package); The integrated beamer / projector.
This was my first contact with such a "part" and my expectations, if I'm honest, not particularly high.
Here I am clearly surprised!
The projector is a really serious equipment feature and makes the operation really enjoy.
In dark room with white background distance projections in 50 inch format are available at approximately 2 meters.
Here, the image is still perfectly acceptable and highly detailed.
Whereby the HDR-PJ410 on the "HDMI In" can use interface as a pure beamer.
To connect to a "normal" television by the way the appropriate HDMI cable is included in delivery.
Here, the HDR-PJ410 achieved the best performance with me.
Directly connected to my 50 inch TV via HDMI, the picture is definitely better than after saving on the PC (with PlayMemories Home) and playback on my 27-inch PC monitor.
Worth mentioning also the "Dual video recording" function (can be disabled).
In this format, the recorded video can be stored twice as TS (AVC) format and MP4 (AVC).
Has the same video as eg * .m2ts file 18.2 MB and as * .mp4 file only about 3.3 MB.
That's where the MP4 file, for example, easily transferred to a smartphone and watch there.
Conclusion:
The Sony HDR-PJ410 is a Full HD camcorder with consistently good picture quality.
The equipment features are above average, which makes it a complete package, as already mentioned, very attractive.
I can recommend it with a clear conscience.
