It starts with a 40-minute long improvised piece that strongly recalls the first few minutes of Baroque music. Then suddenly appeared out of nowhere on a second motive that is varied in every imaginable form. After a minute-long outbreak, which sounds as if Keith Jarrett would play with 20 fingers, the piece comes to a peaceful conclusion, but can not quite decide zwischem light and dark is. Two things are absolutely fascinating: a case of all improvisation and complexity, there is always a melodic arc and b.. Keith Jarrett's beyond doubt sublime technique.
, There are two concert (not composed by Jarrett) additions, which are far more than a plate filler. The wind is a wonderful elegiac ballad. However, the highlight is the following Blues. The Keith Jarrett has here not broken fingers at the opposite rhythms and breathtaking precision complies, is for me the great miracles in the complete works of Keith Jarrett.
The Paris concert is for me together with the Vienna concert the biggest thing Keith Jarrett has released to date.
Incredible music of a genius for eternity !!!
