+) Price / performance is directly incredibly well.
+) Very nice colors, high dynamic range, extremely low noise.
+) Very unerring white balance under different conditions.
+) Easy operation by limiting the essentials.
+) Above average good kit lens (especially corner sharpness).
+) Bright folding screen, pretty good read even in the sun.
+) Fleet operators by 2 dials. By pressing a button you can zoom in to just still picture immediately.
+) Intelligent blur technology: In addition to the internal image stabilizer (against hand tremors) automatically shortens the camera shutter speed when it detects motion in the picture (from motion blur). Very clever!
Neutral:
0) Focusing is done exceptionally fast. There flotteres. This is certainly not a sports or action camera.
0) camera is relatively easy, but certainly not Einsteckkamera.
Negatives:
-) Program shift is not only fix eingestellem ISO (ie at AUTO-ISO). Strange.
-) From ISO 3200 are already strongly smoothed out so the photos look almost like painted the details. But Grandma has then no more wrinkles. Or one is down the noise reduction.
It can be seen only in relation to price everything always. The camera you get currently already below 400 euros and is worth every penny. What they may not know it already and I do not see as a disadvantage. Therefore, watch out! The Fuji X-A1 following can NOT and who wants to have to stop spending more money:
NO viewfinder (not retrofittable), no HDR, Panorama NO, NO aluminum case, no remote control via smartphone (via WiFi can only images are downloaded).
Addendum after a few months thousands + Photos:
The fact remains that the image quality is incredibly good. The camera takes very reliable optimally exposed photos in pleasant colors that usually do not require post-processing.
Heaviest drawback: the slow shutter lag. For quick scenes the camera is completely disabled.
Annoying: the weak battery life. Without spare battery in your pocket you should not go away.
