The Starkid 68152 is the delightful, far much cheaper option in a direct comparison with the AR-Drone2. Nevertheless, there is room for improvement in my opinion here. It begins with the not very robust carton. Because instead of a blister is glued to the front of very thin transparent plastic film. Here I wanted a really sturdy box, where you can also store or transport the UFO good. In the box are even remote control (the required batteries are included), a black and white multi-lingual instructions, the aircraft itself and a charging cable for the (non-replaceable) battery. In addition, spare rotors, two orange and two black (on the rotors color you can also orient well, where is just the UFO front and rear).
Immediately after unpacking I was able to complete first flight minutes, because the battery was already charged. However, this can be quite difficult in the well provided for this purpose plastic housing slide. There seems to be easily deformed with my UFO.
The remote control makes - as is unfortunately almost all Starkid-flying objects tested so far - not particularly high-quality impression. Stickers are glued wrong, total remote control is very light in the hand. Those who have already managed a similar flying object is with the two joysticks on the remote control will have no problems. One is used for the rotors velocity and thus for the height, the other stick leaves the UFO fly in the desired direction. Who has good eingefuchst correctly in the control, the UFO can even perfectly designed - and spectators impressive - make 360 degree flips. The battery lasts - depending on how flown with the UFO - a good ten to 12 minutes, then the unit for about one hour before handling the electrical outlet.
After the rotors bring some momentum, the UFO is designed for outdoor use. Small children or (domestic) animals should maintain a safe distance when using. But on closer inspection, the UFO is then rather a toy for big boys and girls.
From me for Starkid 68152 very good four star. If the package more robust, the remote control-quality and interchangeable battery, the fifth star would have easily been possible. For the curious and beginners, the acquisition of this favorable UFOs but definitely worth it.
