*** First impression ***
As was the other models in the series the Dark ~ Wiko Darkmoon is delivered in a me a little "cheap" acting plastic box. However, it is very compact and secure more stable than a simple box.
The Dark Moon is with only 110g remarkably easily and with a depth of 7.9mm also really slim. This and due to the send back of aluminum, it is in spite of the 4.7 inch displays very good in the hand. Unfortunately, the buttons for the volume and on / off button are a bit shaky and not act as high quality as the rest of the smartphone. It is unusual that the on / off button is located below the volume button. I think that's not optimal, but it is only a matter of habit.
*** Operation, performance and battery life ***
In Darkmoon a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM to be used. Thus, the Dark Moon is not quite as efficient as the top model Wiko Dark Full, but in everyday use which is hardly noticeable. Only in complex or graphics-intensive apps games you realize the difference.
Wiko fits the Android OS, as usual, only minimally to what I really like. However, the pre-installed at the Darkmoon TouchPal keyboard gets a deduction. Here I find the standard Android keyboard much better.
*** Dual SIM function ***
A highlight of the Wiko smartphones and therefore the Darkmoon on board is the dual SIM function. Unlike, for example the Dark Night the SIM card slots are hidden due to the non-replaceable battery on the side and at the back behind a flap.
By dual SIM function you are simultaneously accessible to both numbers and when a call is displayed to which the SIM card belongs to the call. Both SIMs can be accurately assigned to use: voice call, video call, SMS / MMS and data plan can independently set and a SIM card are assigned.
*** Conclusion ***
The Darkmoon Wiko completed the evolution from down and offers an affordable entry into the dual SIM world. The Dark Moon is very good due to its lightweight and slim design in hand, however, is dispensed with in comparison to Dark Night on a replaceable battery.
Despite a retail price of only 190, the Dark Moon is equipped with an aluminum back, which makes it a quality image. For processor, RAM and display, it can not keep up with the Dark Full, but I have not much to complain about. Slight criticism there is only due to the wobbly keys and the pre-installed keyboard.
Those looking for a slim and lightweight dual SIM smartphone, you should definitely take a look at the Wiko Darkmoon.
