In a simple, efficient yet stylish Maurice Druon describes the end of the reign of Philippe IV the Fair. He excels in the art of making us relive this rich period but often méconnue. On feels that the book is supported by important historical research and that it is instructive however talented M.Druon due to that it is not "digest" (we want to read in one sitting). Ultimately a fabulous historical novel, perhaps the best of the series "Accursed Kings", although others are also excellent.
