Ingenious camera with practical smartphone feature

So far I had an iPhone 4, but the me - after two years - (broken home button and on-off switch, battery no longer holds sometimes all day ...) due to constant quirks duly went on his nerves. I then toyed with the Nokia Lumia 925, but that there are only with 16 GB of memory - which is not enough for me. Or in the black Vodafone Edition. I wanted the phone but rather in white and without Vodafone branding (I have my contract with Vodafone also do not, otherwise I would have been perhaps not so disturbed). That's why I've been waiting for the Nokia Lumia 1020, because this has the required 32 GB of memory in their luggage. By a happy circumstance, the opportunity offered me early now serve up one to come, and then I just had to strike.

Here are my first impressions:

The phone fits comfortably in your hand. I do not like too much cell phones. For example, the Sony Xperia Z arbitration simply because of the size for me. The 4.5 inches of the Nokia 1020 are just as handy. Even bigger than my old iPhone, but not too large. The processing looks good. Everything is wertig, it creaks nothing and looks solid. Hopefully that also does not deceive, but because you just have to wait and see.

I really can also use the Windows OS do not complain. I admit that I had doubts when upgrading since my Apple iOS really liked. I have so far never been able to make friends with Android so pretty (I have on my Acer tablet ...). But the Windows OS really convinced me so far. Everything runs smoothly and is structured logically. I came right away despite the conversion intuitively well with it.

The apps I have been as good as anything in the App Store found. Again, I was not sure, because the Apple iTunes store after all is quite fine and has a large selection. It is also known that there is a huge selection of Apps for Android. Certainly the Windows App Store is something limited. But I have found everything I use / need. And that is indeed to eventually. I think also that the offer will also expand over time yet. Apple and Android have since been simply a head start, but that will just run out of time.

The whole shebang is of course the camera with built here. Is this really just a cell phone? WOW! I have not always remember to lug my camera. Or it is not bad if I forget sometimes. The camera in the Lumia 1020 is really incredibly well and provides absolutely great pictures - and without having to carry around a block with it. No wonder - it's also Zeiss optics in it!
The videos are also sharp and run smoothly. With such a quality of (moving) images makes the photograph and film just really fun and for me the highlight of the Lumia 1020th

The voice quality is incidentally also very clean and clear. All interlocutors could understand me very well so far. There is nothing to complain about.

Last but not least something still to battery life: (is like just as in the early days, when a new toy - er mobile phone - has) Despite intensive use of the battery lasts loose a day or even longer by. I have yet easy habit to charge me the battery overnight, even if it would last longer.

All in all I'm really excited to date. The Lumia 1020 is a smartphone that has the right size, has a strong battery, scores with a reliable and stable OS and this also has a camera in his luggage, which shows off not just with only 41 megapixels, but has a lens in it, the hammer even good shots permits. What more do you want? For me it is definitely the right choice!

UPDATE 13/09/13: Even after several weeks use I am still very excited about the Lumia 1020! The user interface of Windows Phone is great (she is so good, I could not at first thought). It is flexible as to be mobile settles, everything runs smoothly and looks with colorful Live Tiles plus great. The battery power keeps loose by a day, even though I intensively use the phone (Internet, Apps, photography, etc.). Surely everyone has different needs, but overall Nokia delivers here a very harmonious overall package that inspires me every day's new :)
