It is very thin and gummed on the underside. Thus, it does not slip and can easily be stowed away, if you do not need one. I let it be like to just lie on the keyboard of my laptop and then cover this together. Even after months it looks like new and has no signs of use.
I'll be the way very well with the unlike most Pads rougher surface. I find it rather pleasant that the mouse is a little "slowed down" and for me thereby controllable.
The typical odor of such materials was gone not very strong and also fast at least on my pad. For me, no reason for a devaluation.
From me it's 5 star and a strong buy recommendation.
