This book is definitely interesting for those interested at least in political life of his country and its leading players (idealistic abstain or mentally prepare beforehand) .It is also well written and very readable.
For cons, I want to take a passage that falls to me of pure intellectual dishonesty or even of defamation or intentions trial.
P. 242, journalists indicate that D.STRAUSS-Kahn himself had prophesied possible attacks which he inevitably would be subject if it declared candidate for the 2012 presidential election, the first of which he advanced his " Jewishness. " To illustrate their point and thus validate the premonitions of DSK, the authors then cite C.JACOB (UMP) as saying about the latter "[DSK] this is not the image of rural France The image of France terroir and territories that we like, that to which I am attached. "
But C.JACOB, a farmer by profession, evokes the France from which it came, "deep", that of the "bumpkins" or "redneck" as it is sometimes called contemptuously, who gets up early and do account not his hours to sometimes work for nothing; by antagonism with France of the jet-set elite and bling bling, leading large train, always between two aircraft and two continents, devoted patron of palaces to the four corners of the world, living in apartments where square meters are hundreds in the most affluent neighborhoods of the capitals of the world ... this reality that the authors themselves describe throughout the book in great detail and examples and that jumps to the average French reader!
