Is ... is not ...

In September last year the old Siemens water heater broke down in my apartment. My landlord then has the Thermoflow 18 brought and installed from the hardware store. At first I was surprised about the optics. The device has a blue display. In standby mode, the display lights continuously blue and there is also a green light. In hot water decrease then lit a red light. Unfortunately, it is the blue backlight off and not lit at night the bathroom. Adjusting the temperature goes beyond small tip switch (up or down), and the display can be seen a sort of wave ... which is larger or smaller. Explained by itself. Annoying is ... as already described herein, the beep!

So far so good!

A few months made the unit what it is ... hot water.

However, I have to say, coming up really hot water ... a few liters are already useless gone down the drain! But okay, this loss has in this type water heaters probably always.

In December, I was ready to take a shower in my shower tray ... water and there was water, cold water ... lots of cold water. A look at the machine told me ... it's off. Anyway this could happen ... again turned on and back under the shower. Again, only cold water and the unit came was out again. So I waived on showers, got dressed again and wanted to show the problem my landlord. And how is it so ... the unit remained at (demonstration effect), but there was only moderately warm water. You can read the water temperature nicely on the screen. 21 degrees, 22 degrees to 27 degrees ... it took about 5 minutes. How much water has been hitherto consumed totally unnecessary ... I need not mention here. After several attempts an acceptable temperature has been reached. Power off the device in the presence of my landlord has not, of course.

He asked me to continue to watch it ... otherwise just a breakdown of the device would be possible to return it to then. Great!

Now we have the end of January and the unit has two more times in between just off. Every now and then it makes noises as if through ... it rattles and rattles with low water flow pebbles.

In the kitchen only lukewarm water comes, although the faucet located almost directly on the other side of the faucet from the bathroom. For washing is not warm enough!

Filling a bathtub would never make the device! I'll try it and do not even!

And now another Arges problem has yet been set. When showering a bad smell ... I can not really describe ... somehow chemically burned and developed. This problem occurs on now for 3 days and can flee from a bathroom! On the device so nothing is determined. It is not warm and it also does not smokes! But the corrosive smell always arises during the shower. This odor is produced only during prolonged operation ... for example when showering. The decrease in hot water eg for washing hands goes smoothly.

Basically the device would have earned only 1 star ... but since it now and then functioned as it should ... just 2 stars. But more really do not!

Again I had my landlord show the problem and then I was put off in order to observe the device!

Had I bought it myself, it would be removed and exchanged for elongates another device!

Thermoflow Elex 18 ... never again!
