The lighting has been sent immediately. The package also a headband was delivered to use these lights as head lamp.
Bike Lights:
Certificate:
Unfortunately, I have nowhere to identify a road approval or TÜV seal. Neither on the lamp or in the supplied descriptions.
- (Also overlooked Possibly) No certificate found
Attach:
The lamp is very small, the case with value and stable. The lamp can be attached by rubber band on the handlebar. Again, I would prefer a plug clip because after re-attaching the lamp the headlight must be realigned. The cable to the battery is very long. As I mount the small battery pocket on the steering wheel I have to lay the cables, saying that I wrap cable around the handlebar.
Lamp and cables are plugged together and secured by a screw socket. Is the lamp off time and again and are grown, it looks awkward.
+ Lamp is very small, handy and seems well built
+ Lamp can be fixed quickly
- Very long battery cable
- Simple push-fit socket between lamp and battery cable would be more advantageous
Light output:
There are three levels. Even the first stage produces a lot of light. In the third and highest level of the environment is enormous illuminated. Even with the wet track the field of view is very well illuminated. Unfortunately, this leads on public roads to major problems. Although I had the light setting set supposedly correct myself in the oncoming vehicle neighbor was sorely blinded. He approached me on it and I've checked his concerns. Unfortunately, he's right! Only after I had significantly reduced the headlights down, the risk of blinding was banned.
+ Very bright light, in the third stage almost too much
+ Very good illumination of the field of view, even when it is dark and lively wet roads
- The choice of the light intensity can only be set forward. Beginning at level 0 (for off). I want to go back from level 2 to level 1, I have to go on stage 3 and lamp.
- The battery level is displayed until the lamp is disconnected from the battery. Therefore, the lamp must be disconnected from the battery after every trip, because this charging indicator is not economical to use
- The lamp must be accurately adjusted in height to dazzle no oncoming vehicles on the road. Then the illuminated area is however significantly smaller
Battery charging:
A high light output consumes a lot of energy. After 1.5 hour of continuous light in all stages of the battery life of three drops to a bar.
Charging takes a long time.
+ Battery very small and handy. Fits to the bicycle handlebar
- The charging time is 2.0 hours half discharged until the charger shows green again
Headlamp:
The lighting I can not use as headlamp, unfortunately, because the lighting is too strong just above the eyebrows. Special in fine rain or snow occurs the effect as in a car in the dark when it's snowing. This design is confusing to the eye. Furthermore, the long cable is difficult to store so that it does not depend on his face while running.
I therefore believe that the lamp in his hand.
Compared with the lighting of Busch & Müller, IQ
Comparing the luminosity both lamps are extraordinarily strong and light the way. The lighting Busch & Müller is but a headlight and lighting by Cree is a spot. Unfortunately, this is a significant and important difference.
Conclusion: The lamp has an enormous light output and the price is very attractive, but as a standard bike lights this lamp is not suitable in our estimation for public transport. Therefore, one and a half star deduction (rounded up to four stars).
